Leadership Team

Nadia Geigler is a values-driven leader with a long history of leadership in not-for-profit aging services. Since joining The Admiral at the Lake in 2016, she has championed strategic clarity, organizational sustainability, and exceptional community experiences. Nadia serves on the LeadingAge Illinois Board, the Uptown United Board, and facilitates the state Leadership Academy program. A graduate of the national LeadingAge Academy, Nadia brings depth, empathy, and vision to the role. Nadia lives on the northwest side of Chicago with her family.

Erika Keegan joined The Admiral in 2023 after a decade of operations leadership in for-profit senior housing, where she led high-performing teams and strengthened resident experiences. Returning to her non-profit roots, Erika draws on her social work background to lead with a holistic, person-centered approach that values every voice. She holds a Psychology degree from Boston College and a Certificate in Aging from Boston University. A 2013–2014 LeadingAge Illinois Leadership Academy alum, she has since served as a coach and design team member. Erika lives in Oak Park with her husband and two young children.

Mary Beth joined The Admiral in February 2023. Her culinary arts career spans 20 years. She is dedicated to creating exceptional dining experiences for older adults. Working in various non-profit communities, she has served in roles such as a chef, dining director, and food services director. Mary Beth has been involved in many inspiring culinary endeavors; as faculty member at the Culinary School of Kendall College, where she shared her expertise and knowledge with aspiring culinary students. She has also worked as a cooking instructor for kindergartners at Wilmette Community Nursery School, showcasing her versatility in teaching different age groups. Mary Beth holds an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management.

Katie O’Brien is a strategic and relationship-driven leader with deep experience in senior living sales, marketing, and community engagement. As Director of Sales & Marketing at The Admiral at the Lake, Katie leads occupancy strategy across all levels of care while championing a cohesive, resident-centered approach to growth and brand storytelling. She is known for building strong internal partnerships, leveraging data to inform decision-making, and creating authentic connections with future residents, families, and professional referral partners. Katie brings creativity, clarity, and a collaborative spirit to her work, with a strong focus on aligning mission, culture, and long-term sustainability.

Brit Vipham joined The Admiral in 2022 to guide the execution of essential projects within the organization. Brit’s passion for senior living comes from over ten years of consulting with provider organizations leading them through the complex master planning and construction development process. They hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Teacher Education, offering a diverse skillset in communication, management, marketing, accounting, and technology. Brit currently volunteers with LeadingAge national’s ‘Next Gen’ program, promoting senior living to young professionals, and serves as co-facilitator of LeadingAge Illinois Emerging Leaders program. Brit enjoys golf, hiking, snowboarding, and cheering on the Cubs.

R.J. Zielinski joined The Admiral in December of 2021. He has worked on the financial side of not-for-profit aging services since 2007. R.J. holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Marquette University and is a graduate of the 2021 LeadingAge Illinois Leadership Academy. R.J. serves on the board of directors for a local community health agency that focuses on mental health, senior services, and LGTBQ+ services for youth. He and his wife live in Roselle and have two daughters and three dogs.

Helen Dittmer, who joined The Admiral in 2024, is a Registered Nurse with a bachelor’s in nursing (2005) and a master’s in nursing administration. A Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and graduate of the LeadingAge Leadership Academy, she has over 10 years of leadership experience in clinical settings, including NICU, oncology, home health, and senior living.

Passionate about healing through communication and autonomy, Helen focuses on fostering relationships to help others lead meaningful lives. She enjoys nature walks, cheering for the Cubs and Bears, and spending time with her three daughters, two dogs, and a cat.

Sharon Hill joined The Admiral in 2025. Her Human Resources experience spans 25 years focusing on employee engagement, labor relations, and organizational change management. She is passionate about building inclusive cultures and developing people-focuses strategies that drive organizational success. Sharon hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Management with a focus in Leadership from DePaul University. She also likes to volunteer with nonprofit organizations mentoring youth, reflecting her commitment to community and empowerment. She brings a collaborative leadership style grounded in integrity, empathy, and continuous improvement. Sharon lives in the south suburbs and loves travel and spending time with her family.
